Last Thursday our school celebrated the graduation Last Thursday our school celebrated the graduation of the Leaving Certificate Class of 2025. Surrounded by family, friends, and staff, students marked the end of their secondary school journey with a ceremony that reflected their achievements, growth, and the friendships they’ve formed over the years. We wish them every success in their upcoming examinations and the very best in all that the future holds!

120km later, our TY students Seán, Daniel, and Rowan, along with Mr. Finn, have completed the Camino de Santiago in aid of Cliona’s Foundation. 

We are so proud of their dedication, resilience, and the amazing achievement of not only finishing the Camino but also raising much-needed funds to support families of seriously ill children across Ireland. Well done to all 👏🏼

Sports Day 2025 ⚽️🏓🏅 Two weeks ago we he Sports Day 2025 ⚽️🏓🏅 Two weeks ago we held our annual sports day. Students took part in several different activities throughout the day, from soccer tournaments to rounders, hurling skills to athletics. All activities led to the much anticipated teachers vs students soccer game! A fantastic day was had by all. Thank you to all teachers and staff who helped out on the day!
Camino Day 2 🇪🇸 Today TY students Sean, Dani Camino Day 2 🇪🇸 Today TY students Sean, Daniel and Rowan had 25km ahead of them. They were up bright and early this morning to begin the next section of their walk. A huge thank you to Mr. Finn who has accompanied the boys on their journey so far!

With 22km ahead of them on Day 1, we’re excited to follow their progress and see how the rest of their journey unfolds. They are walking in aid of Cliona’s Foundation, supporting seriously ill children and their families. Well done boys 👏🏼
Yesterday afternoon, our annual awards ceremony to Yesterday afternoon, our annual awards ceremony took place in the Charleville Park Hotel. This ceremony highlights the academic, sporting and extra-curricular achievements of our students and we celebrated the amazing year that was 2024-2025. We welcomed guest speaker @richardodonoghuetd who delivered an inspiring and motivational speech to our school community. A huge thank you to Deputy O’Donoghue for taking the time out of his busy schedule to be with us.

Congratulations to 5th Year student Mathis Lorenze Congratulations to 5th Year student Mathis Lorenzen who was one of the finalists of “Ma Notre Dame” competition organised by AMOPA Irlande ( Association des Membres de l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques).
Students had to write a text (max. 60 words) about how Notre Dame inspires them.
Congratulations also to Fernando O’Connell who participated in the competition as well.

Congratulations to Senan Hanranhan on winning the Congratulations to Senan Hanranhan on winning the CBS Perpetual Golf Cup last Friday in glorious conditions in Charleville Golf Club. Senan played some excellent golf culminating in a 4&3 victory. Hard luck to Ross Linehan who no doubt will come back stronger in the coming years. Well played lads 👏

The yearbook features all class and team photos, awards day photos, pupil profiles for Leaving Cert students along with photos and reports from lots of other events during the year.

The yearbook costs €7.50 and can be ordered at reception or online on VSware.

Last week 3rd year students Julian, Arturs and Kr Last week 3rd year students  Julian, Arturs and Kristaps attended a Junior Cycle Science Quiz in UCC. It was hosted by the Cork Branch of the ISTA and was sponsored by Thermo-Fisher Scientific. The boys did very well!
On the 8th and 9th of April Transition Year studen On the 8th and 9th of April Transition Year students embarked on an overnight adventure to Mayo. On arrival in Mayo, the first task was a trek to the top of Croagh Patrick. On arrival to the top the students stumbled upon an unusual sight. When they reached the church on the summit the students came upon a wedding at the peak. A traditional Latvian wedding ceremony was taking place and the Transition Years involved themselves in the celebrations by forming a guard of honour for the bridal party and guests at the church exit. The following day started with students cooking their own breakfasts in the Old Mill Hostel before embarking on a 40 km cycle from Westport to Achill. The group refreshed after the cycle on the beach at Achill before the journey home.
Italy Day 3 🇮🇹 - Today TY and second year st Italy Day 3 🇮🇹 - Today TY and second year students went to Gardaland! Lots of fun was had on all the rollercoasters and rides in the sun!
Yesterday morning our TY and second year students Yesterday morning our TY and second year students were up bright and early to catch their flight to Italy for their school trip. So far they have done several activities which included a boat trip. Today they ventured to the city of Venice! 🇮🇹
